Game Night is back at 1020 Collective! 

Join us Friday, September 12 from 6 - 10pm as we kick things off with Notebook Knockout, a brand new battle royale-style board + card game from the award-winning team at Paper Frog Studio. We’ll also have other games like chess, Mario Kart, and Nintendo to play with as well in addition to Notebook Knockout. 

You’ll get the chance to play before its official release (their Kickstarter launches September 16th!) and meet the creators themselves. Best part? It’s completely free to play!

And that’s not all - one of the creators, Stevie DiGiacomo (the artist behind all the game’s stunning artwork), will also be the featured artist/presenter at our Collective Community networking night on Thursday, September 18.

Create your own canvas tote – perfect for your local farmer’s market haul! This demonstration will explain how to apply the Cyanotype Process to textile goods. Participants will print their own compositions on bandanas and bags while learning application methods and tips for successful sun-printing.

Join us for our next Collective Community event on Thursday, August 21st from 6 - 10pm at 1020 Collective. This month we’re thrilled to feature Dan Schank, whose solo exhibition Dissolves is currently on view in our first floor gallery. Through layered watercolors, Dan traces cultural shifts and psychological undercurrents - drawing inspiration from mid-century media and the cinematic cross dissolve. He’ll be giving a lecture at 7pm, diving deeper into the themes behind his work.

We’re also excited to be soft launching our bar with cocktails crafted by Bernie from Before the Barrel, alongside treats from Perry’s Pastries. Going forward, our bar will feature cocktails made with Before the Barrel’s moonshine as well as a rotating selection of other locally made PA beverages!

We’ll also have Stephen Maynard here spinning vinyl for the evening!

The evening runs from 6 - 10pm, so come early, stay late, and help us celebrate this new chapter of gathering, art, and connection at 1020 Collective.

Join us for Gallery Night here at 1020 Collective! We will be celebrating the receptions for 2 of our current exhibitions: Motherhood, a group exhibition and Dissolves, a solo exhibition by Dan Schank.

Motherhood (in our second floor gallery) delves into the layered, intimate, and powerful realities of motherhood as seen through the eyes of a diverse group of artists. From new moms to seasoned mothers, each artist reflects on their unique journey through deeply personal and thought-provoking work.

Dissolves (in our first floor gallery) is a solo exhibition by Dan Schank that features watercolor works inspired by the cinematic technique of the cross dissolve, symbolizing psychological and cultural transitions across time. Drawing on imagery from the Human Potential Movement and mid-century media, the Dan reflects on the shift from collective transformation to individualized self-growth. The paintings explore the psychological tone of three distinct eras: the introspective 1950s, the self-focused 1970s, and today’s fractured, conspiratorial climate.

Both exhibitions will be up and on view today through July 27th.
