Garden Build Workshop with Tess
Soil Building and Hands-On Garden Build Workshop
Join us for hands-on demonstrations of how to boost soil health in our backyard gardens, and how to build no-till garden beds both from scratch and in year-to-year replenishment. We will walk you through the processes step-by-step, from mapping out the space, collecting the necessary materials, to the construction and layering of beds. We will touch on various methods, including composting techniques, and set up stations around the yard at the 1020 Collective for hands-on practice. This is a great workshop for experiential learners!
In addition, we will allow time for Q & A specific to your own site conditions and resources. Perfect for beginning gardeners, or for those who want to expand their current gardening endeavors, and perhaps try something new.
We will provide a snack during the workshop, so please inform us if you have any dietary restrictions. Please dress in comfortable and warm clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
**Stay tuned - In the event of cold and/or rainy weather, we will postpone the workshop to Rain Date TBD. RSVPs and ticket purchases are encouraged at: https://www.eatyouryarderie.com/workshops. There is a minimum of 4 signups to run the workshop.

The Senior’s Ball
The Senior’s Ball is a night of “geriatric fun” for all the millennials! Prepare to dance the night away in your FINEST grandma/grandpa threads! The dress code is senior citizen — think nursing home, Easter Sunday church outfits — if your grandparents are wearing it now, then copy! Be sure to get creative with your looks — bring canes, walkers or even an oxygen tank. GO ALL OUT!
This event is 25+. Doors open at 7 PM.
Garden Design Workshop + Seed Swap
Bring your gardening ambitions and questions! We'll sit down and hash out the specifics of your dream garden design around the table. Leave with a workable design for your location - orientation, layout, plant choices, spacing, and maybe some seeds! Overlapping with the workshop will be a Vendor Market, followed by a Community Seed Swap (our third annual!). Join in conversation and mingling with like-minded folks in our community, and find the support and inspiration you need to tackle your upcoming garden endeavors. Whether you are just starting out, or need to revamp your current space, all skill levels are welcome! Don't have any seeds to share at our swap? That's okay too! The Earth provides such abundance that there is plenty to go around.
Workshop: 10am - 12pm
$15/person
Overlapping Market: 11am - 1pm
Free
Community Seed Swap: 12pm - 2pm
