The 1020 Collective is pleased to present RECESS, a collection of new mixed media works by Erie-based artists Em Crisman and Jamie Keim Pomorski, opening Friday, November 21 with a public reception from 6–8 PM.
Presenting work created in collaboration during a shared season of new motherhood and transition. Combining painting, cyanotype, sewing, and drawing, the artists explore creativity as a space for rest, renewal, and connection. Crisman and Pomorski view this exhibition as a celebration of the community they love.
In that spirit, ten percent of all artwork sold during the opening reception will be donated to Emmaus Ministries Soup Kitchen, which is around the corner from The 1020 Collective and the artists’ studio, in support of their ongoing efforts to address food insecurity in Erie.
Both of the artists and the owners of 1020 Collective are graduates of Bridgeway Capital’s Erie Made program—now known as the NWPA Made Program—which supports and equips local creative entrepreneurs.
