1020 Collective is thrilled to present New Lab Nuance: Experiments in Color, new works by Tyler Podomik. The exhibition features large scale brightly colored paintings.

New Lab Nuance: Experiments in Color

New Lab Nuance is a collection of work that I’ve made since moving to my new studio in Etna, PA in January of 2022.

Undergoing this environmental change has opened an unintentional study into my artistic process. Each work became its own experimentation of paint application, material, color palettes, content and more. Slightly differentiating my expressions from piece to piece has granted me a freedom to explore my capabilities. This has alleviated the pressure of self placed limitations and imaginary hurdles. I’ve grown passionate about providing art for all walks of life and doing so in a way that provides a learning environment for myself. What I discovered through this work is that regardless of what the end product reflects, my intentions and energy placed into the work remains the same.

It is always draped in a love for nuanced color with a spiritual pull to orchestrate that color in a harmonious, dance-like way. Some work aims to visually intrigue and some work aims to mentally intrigue. And some, maybe, will do both. Thank you for interacting with the work.
